The Days preserved the kitchen’s original footprint, with a few adjustments like taller cabinetry and a smaller sink to maximize space. Two-tone cabinetry and vertical subway tiles offer dimension to a room that could otherwise feel a little claustrophobic, and we love the contrast achieved by painting the window frames black.

The former drop ceiling was evened out to enlarge the space, while subway tiles extend all the way up for a continuous, finished look.
